Byply is a small furniture design and manufacture business based near Alton in Hampshire. Byply was founded by Simon Ford in 2008. Simon is an Interior Architect and Design graduate who has always had a love and passion for detail and quality design. To Simon architecture and furniture are very closely linked and share a vast amount of design intelligence and attention to detail.
The company’s initial focus was on the exploration of unique plywood based free standing furniture designs. With some prototypes of the Arm Splice made, Simon decided he had the basis of the product he wished to launch the company on. With the finished developed designs put into production Simon launch Byply at Tent London an exhibition during the London design week. Following a successful launch Byply continued to do more exhibitions and grow the companies profile and awareness.

Since the exhibitions and growth of Byply the initial focus of plywood products has ventured on, but remains the backbone. Demand and intriguing new bespoke projects from our growing and fabulous customer base has progressed us into working with other materials, methods and techniques.
Our focus now is to produce simplistic, elegant and purposeful furniture that is directly reactive to our clients briefs, with adding that extra design focused ethos to surpass their expectations. With clever solutions and unique designs. Our Projects list ranges from small one-off freestanding items to bespoke kitchens to large library fit outs to large external joinery. We love to work with the building and spaces your new furniture will be in so our designs do react and work with their surroundings.
Our furniture is all designed and manufactured in our workshop, which allows us to keep a keen eye on quality. and to ensure that our finished work is beautifully designed, detailed and manufactured to a high standard of handmade bespoke furniture.
