This kitchen redesign was a fantastic project with very high specification on materials and appliances. The brief was to redesign the kitchen to make the most out of the space whilst keeping a kitchen table. We were also asked to make the most of the very limited natural lighting from the small window. Another requirement was to utilise the large cupboard space above the cellar stairs. The result of the design was a very sleek and functional kitchen, in which the high spec materials shine. The majority of the kitchen is Alabaster Gloss handless doors for the base units and wall units. The worktops are Hi-Macs Uranus with a shark nose edge and curved up stands, splash back and window ledge. Along the back wall is a large bespoke Oak (crown cut, book-matched veneered birch plywood and solid oak) full height 5x door larder unit. This unit also cleverly hides the large cupboard above the cellar stairs. To complete the room and tie the materials together the floor is a lacquered engineered oak.
